St agnes Skin Cancer Clinic offers skin procedures and lesion removals.

If advised by the Doctor, a skin procedure or removal may be required. 

These will be booked by the Doctor on the day of your first consultation in the Skin Cancer Clinic, or will be advised when an appointment should be booked in. 

what does a procedure entail?

A skin procedure is required for the removal of lesions - suspicious or cosmetic.

Local anaesthetic is injected into the area. 
Once numb, the lesion can be removed.

Stitches will be used if required and a dressing applied.

The Doctor and nurse will explain how to care for the area and when stitches will need to be removed.
