What we do

Mole mapping is a process using advanced digital imaging programs to create a detailed map of your skin that focuses on particular moles and other skin irregularities.

Mole mapping uses high-resolution cameras (MoleMax) and specific software to capture and assess images of your skin.

It allows for early detection of abnormalities, as well as any changes to this overtime.

Your mole mapping appointment

Pre-Appointment

• Wear loose clothing
• Wear thongs or easily removable footwear
• No make-up to be worn

During Appointment

During your check, you will be required to remove clothing apart from your undergarments to the extent you feel comfortable, so the doctor is able to assess every section of your skin.

The doctor will then methodically assess all sections of your skin, closely examining any freckles, moles and other abnormalities.

The MoleMax machine will then create a ‘map’ of your skin to store in our database for future comparisons.

Our advanced magnifying technology will highlight any abnormalities on your skin and flag them with the doctor.

Post-Appointment

The doctor will spend time with you post-check going through your results and any requirements for a follow up appointment.

​You will be advised the best course of action for management and are encouraged to follow up with your skin care doctor or GP if you have any questions.

Pricing

Payment on the day of consultation is required in FULL.
Payment is available through EFTPOS; we do not take cash. 

Mole Mapping Appointment

Patients will receive a Medicare rebate of $42.85 in eligible, leaving the gap as indicated below:
